Thank goodness it's FRIDAY! ;)

& yay for me not having to drive to Irvine tonight ... the bf is actually driving down to San Diego instead to spend some quality time with me and his parents. As weird as it might sound, I actually really do enjoy spending time with him and his parents. His parent's are so generous and sweet and I feel so lucky to have them be apart of my life, especially since I'm not close to my own family. Since school has started, my weekends no longer consist of sleeping in, shopping, and freely doing whatever my little heart desires ... now it's all about freaking homework! Blah. Is it summer break yet? :)

Anyway .. I purchased some LUSH products online a few weeks back and I finally received it a couple of days ago. I was so excited until I opened the box ... the seal to my Jasmine + henna hair treatment was busted so it was pretty much EVERYWHERE!!! I don't blame LUSH .. I blame the stupid UPS people for not taking better care of my precious lush box!! Blah ... but it wasn't THAT bad so I should just stop pouting and carry on with my review haha. I only bought 2 things from lush since my cash flow at the time was at the peak of nonexistent :(

FIRST: MASK OF MAGNAMINTY CLEANSER $20.45:

BOO! This face is SO NOT sexy haha ... only a face a mother could love :P

The verdict: This product got a lot of positive reviews on the website and I SO wanted to like it but it didn't really do anything to my face. Keep in mind, I have combination skin with a little acne here and there. My face just felt clean ... something I could easily get from a drugstore product. It also smelt kinda funky ... so a little disappointing because I'm all about the smell factor! All in all, this did a good job at cleaning my face but for $20 a container, I rather just buy something from the drugstore since I didn't noticed a substantial difference. I still have quite a bit left so I'm hoping that with continual usage I will start seeing a difference *fingers crossed*. I rate this product 3 1/2 stars out of 5 for now. Bummer!

Next time, I will substitute the pricey maganminty for this baby instead! I heard this stuff is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Especially for those with acne prone skin. It's a great substitute and definitely wallet friendly since it only about $4 :)

SECOND: JASMINE & HENNA FLUFF EAZE TREATMENT $20.45:

Arrgh ... see how it's leaked everywhere :(

The verdict: (sorry this is a little long) ... I was expecting the consistency to be completely different .. but instead it was REALLY runny. If you're not a fan of jasmine then this product is NOT for you because it's quite pungent. If you do like Jasmine, then this smells HEAVENLY! Reminds me of my grandmother's backyard when she used to have jasmine plants everywhere. I miss her! Anyway ... I applied this on my hair before I showered ... and left it on for 15 minutes. CON? THIS STUFF IS MESSY AS HELL! I made the mistake of doing this in my damn bedroom and got this shiet all over my carpet because it was so runny!They also suggest you use the whole container if you have long hair but I couldn't justify spending $20 for JUST one usage so I cheated and only used 1/3 of it hahah. I continued to shampoo and condition after 15 mins and felt a little disappointed because it actually made my hair feel really dry and tangled up when I was done. I brushed my hair and fell asleep with my hair wet and then when I woke up this morning, HOLY COW, my hair acutually felt SOFT ... something I haven't felt since middle school. AHHHHH the good old days when I didn't dye my hair a million different shades and curled/straighten the shiet out of it. How I miss being young and having ugly hair puahaha. ANYWAY I'm quite impressed! Imagine if I used the whole container on my hair ... I'm sure my strands will probably feel like silk now! I rate this 5 stars out of 5. Yay =)

DAMN THAT WAS A LOOOOOOONG REVIEW. I'm sorry haha. Will I buy from LUSH again? OF COURSE! I'm a sucker for things that are organic and vegan ... especially if they come in cute packages! I only wish their products were a wee cheaper ... they should carry a line for "broke-stressed out - acne prone - I hate homework - work is hectic - I feel like shooting my self" line for college students! I would be the first in line to buy it puahaha. Just a suggestion :]

thanks for reviewing both items Lynda, I recently got turned on to LUSH products and fell in love and wanted to try the mask/magnaminty..but was on the fence, but I think your review convinced me "save that $$"

i'll stick to my "angels on bare skin scrub" and soap bars for now - have a great weekend beautiful!

if you wanna try out the mint julep mask, i really like it and it's buy one at 3 something and get 1 free. What a great bargain! so, my friend and I bought 2 and split the bill haha. We payed 1.75 each.

we just bought it at walgreens on sunday. I'm sure they still have it.
